September 2006

Been some absolutely great weather the past two days on the water… kinda’ hard to believe were officially into Fall now !!

River is an almost scary low right now while running the sled, even with the rise in the water level were seeing each day from dam releases!

Even with the low water the past two days on the river has held a couple of nice suprises for us while looking for some fresh Silvers. First was yesterday when we landed our first Chum Salmon of the season. Yup,.. someone let the dogs out a bit early this year. :-) Was still nice to see and what a great fight too!! (forgot my borrowed digi cam yesterday so no pics of the trip)
Second suprise was today when we hooked into and landed a sockeye in suprisingly awesome shape. Sockeye is in pic below from todays trip, 4th fish from the left. :-)

All in all a great start to this years Fall Salmon Season!! :-)

… Or should I say back on the water again.

Been one crazy arse Summer here around the homestead! Finally getting things back in order again and all geared up for… “the rest of my life”. :-)

Sorry for lack of Blog Reports over the Summer. I will try and make up for them this Fall and Winter with more timely updates. ;-) I will also be hosting Chat Room nights again every Monday and Wednesday night at 8:00PM. Hope to see you all
there!!

First day of Fall and our salmon and hunting seasons are well under way. Drowned the last of my Digital Cameras and am now borrowing one for Blog updates until I can get myself a “Water-Proof / Guide-Proof / John-Proof” camera… any reccomendations?

Here’s a couple of pics from this weekends Silver fishing:
