Got the official word the other day that we will be having our June 1st through July 9th King Salmon Season here on the Upper Skagit River!!
After 10 Seasons in Alaska Heather and I have opted to stay home this season rather than going back. We will miss it tons for sure… but it was time. It will be nice to be home for the summer for once to fish locally, work on the cabin some more and have a garden again.
I am now taking bookings for our June 1st through July 9th King Salmon season here on the Upper Skagit!! It will be a 3 person minimum for our King Salmon season spots. Spots will go extremely fast so if you want one call or e-mail us ASAP.
Also taking bookings now on the upper reaches of the Skagit and Sauk River for Steelhead, Trout and Dollie Varden trips in July and August.
Booking summer Sturgeon trips now as well!
… Spring Steelheading remains pretty good here on the Skagit System.
Been getting a bunch of rain up here the past two days making for some rivers going out and marginal conditions elsewhere, but should be pretty good again once they drop back down for the rest of our April fishery.
Here’s a few more pics needing to be posted for ya:

Took out Steve and his 10 yr old son Matthew Del Fante out today for another great day on the water!
Matt was very well taught by Steve on the art of Steelheading and was an absolute hoot to fish… he even earned himself my Lamiglas Pro hat by being a genuine little Pro and hooking 4 Steelhead and landing his first ever!!
WAY TO GO MATT!!! Congrats again Turbo!!
Hope to see you and your Dad again sometime soon!… Like I said, you are welcome in my boat anytime buddy!
Matt’s first ever “landed” Steelhead:
P.S. Promised Matt I’d have his pic up tonight and hope to have some other pics up soon… back to using my old digi camera again now as my other one took a dunk in the river a few days ago and the photo cards aren’t compatable.. just gotta figure out how to get the photos off that card now.
Sorry no recent Blog entries for our regular readers. Been busier than snot the past couple of weeks and just haven’t found the time. Maybe the end of this week if all goes well.
Fishing lately has been sporadic and it kind of goes with the weather and low clear water conditions. Cloudy and rainy days and at first light making for the best fishing, sunny and warm days, tougher fishing.
See ya on the water!
Here’s a few pics from this past week: (needing to unload the camera here
