… you get the idea. hehehe
( Snow-out for today. Report from yesterday… power was out all afternoon and night so could’nt up-date yesterday. )

Ed and Pete with a couple of the nice Silvers they hooked into yesterday.
COLD as all get out yesterday!! Started the morning off at 26 degrees and didn’t warm up all that much all day. Didn’t feel like it warmed a bit actually, especially when the wind started blowing on us.
All in all another great day hooking into quite a few Chum and Silvers both.
Great time guys!! Thanks!! Thank you again for the hat Pete!

Mark and Diane back with us for some more Silver action here on the Skagit. If anyone this season has had the Coho Mojo going for them it’s been Mark and Diane.
Another great day of fishing, boating the Silvers above and a bunch of Chum including the monster that was bound and determined to put Diane and her new rod to the test… Chum ended up winning and Diane got spooled.
Would have liked to do some more Boon-doggin for Winter Steelhead today but was having some kicker trouble that I need to take care of. We still got to at least see a nice chrome Winter-run come clean outta the water right next to the boat as we were anchored drift fishing for thnem… and missed a few bites as well.
Another day of Great Weather (once the snow quite this morning), Great Scenery, Great Company and Great Fishing!! Thanks again guys and see ya again in a few weeks.

Congrats to Mike today in boating the first Winter Steelhead for us this season
Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda… Cast-N-Blast day today with Mike Sr., Mike (above), Russ and Jake. All in all a great day to be on the river downing a couple of nice ducks, boating the nice winter-run steelhead above along with a few nice Silvers and a bunch of Chum. Coulda had our limit of Silvers today if we landed all the ones we hooked and Shoulda had a mess of Ducks with all the steel flying today… Woulda even been a nicer day if the weather hadn’t been changing on us all day like it was…had a little mix of everything today including snow, sleet, rain, hail and sun.
Great time as always guys and look forward to getting even more Steelhead with ya this winter!!

Matt, Jeff and Mike with a hard earned limit of Silvers
Lots of rain today that never seemed to let up on what seems to be the tail-end of our Silver season made for some hard wet “fun” work today. It’s been another great Silver season for us here on the Skagit. We definately had to move around a bit today to hook into the many Chum we did and at least a Silver or two out of almost every hole we fished but it was worth it. Landed well over a dozen Chum today and the six Silvers in the Pic above for another day’s Silver limit.
Very much looking forward to gearing up for some Steelhead this weekend to see what todays rains brought us. It’s definately that time of year again.
Great time today guys!! Thanks again!!

Gary and Mike with a limit of Silvers
Finally!!!… Mike’s curse has been lifted!! Have had Mike and Gary scheduled to go fishing here numerous times in the past month and a half but every time we were set to go the river had been punched and overly high due to an over abundance of rain.
Maybe it wasn’t a curse at all… maybe the fish gods were just puttin’ things off till they were ideal for ya Mike. Great weather and great fishing make for one great day!!
Hooked and landed well over 20 Chum today and also got into a few Silvers as well, landing the 4 in the pic above.
See ya agin soon for Steelhead guys!!

John with a nice limit of Silvers including one of this seasons larger bucks.
Was a bit slower than yesterday for fishing today, seems the onslaught of Chums from yesterday pushed right on through during the day and night. ( One of the larger single one day pushes of Chum I can remember ) Still, all in all a great day of fishing and wing shooting. Started the morning off hooking into a couple of Chum, shooting a couple of Teal and then off to try some more fishing for awhile. Hooked into numerous Chum and a few Silvers and getting John’s Silver limit landing the two dandies above. Then it was off to do some more jump shooting. Jumped a bunch of ducks today and one group of geese and closed the day out bagging a Bufflehead and chasing a group of mallards from spot to spot till they finally smartened up on us.
Weather may have a been a little anti-wing shooting for us today with blue skies and no wind but was a picture perfect day for being outdoors on the Skagit!!
Had a great time as always and I’m sure you can read more about this one on John’s personal Blog and site which can be found at www.johnmanning.com Will try and get those other pics to ya in the next day or so John.

Bob, Rob and Jerry with a limit of Skagit Silvers.
Not much to write about for today… Fishing was hot and weather beautiful! Guys just wanted to get their limit and get off the water pretty much. We were only out for a few hours at most… Hooked over a dozen Silvers and a few Chum. Guess I have time to wash the boat and relax a bit today and finally get back into the gym again. (been missin’ the weights bad!!)

Ryan, Matt Mifflin and Ryan Mifflin with a Dandy limit of Skagit Silvers!
Had the “double trouble” team of Ryans today!! Another great day of fishing here on the Skagit… Been one great season so far!! Matt ( really working his way outta Keeblerdom today landing far more than he lost this go around ) brought his son Ryan ( back for another go at some Skagit salmon ) and Ryan’s buddy Ryan… all just plain ” Got - Er ‘- Done ” today. Shoulda’ had Shannon with you guys again to show you all how its really done… but ya all did pretty good on your own!!
Hooked and landed well over a dozen nice Silvers today along with a few mean arse Chum… Especially the one that decided to use the Skagit’s current to his advantage and flat kick Ryan in the arse. Good fight that lasted a good 20 minutes! Ryan was whooped ( T.K.O.)… and the Chum released still full of energy!!
Lookin’ forward to doing it again guys!! Will see ya again in Dec for some more Steelhead action. ( That would be Ryan’s Pic at the bottom of the site’s ” Steelhead ”
page. )
